Imani Temple #49

MISSION The African American Catholic Congregation is an enduring church. With Christ as our HEAD, we take unto ourselves His ministry and example. Just as in Christ, there is the abiding hope in abundant life, we are committed to the certainty of life and hope in a world constantly in crisis and torn by tribulation. We acknowledge that in our call and challenge to ministry, there are resources availabile to us: the love of God, compassion for each other, commitment to our community, and an understanding of tithing and stewardship for the support of our work. WE CLAIM IT BOLDLY! OUR MISSION is to be preeminent, holistic provider of spritiual and educational development. The African-American Catholic Congregation, an autonomous and independent Catholic institution, understands that a people who do not take control of their destiny, moved by the genius of their cultre, can never achieve full spiritual, economic, social, cultural and psychological maturity. Therefore, the African-American Catholic Congregation and its parishoners are committed to the movement and struggles of our days, in hopes of preserving tomorrow.
